November's Agent Spotlight - Tricia Rakos

Tricia is celebrating 10 years in Real Estate this year – November marks 5 years of Real Estate in Alberta. She was licensed in Real Estate for 5 years in the Elk Valley in BC prior to moving back to High River and took a 2-year break before licensing again in Alberta.

Over the past 5 years a lot has changed! Shortly after creating the “Let Us Guide You Home” team with her business partner and friend, Laurie Allan, Tricia got married and now is the proud mom to 2 young and very busy boys! You can usually find her and the family on the Happy Trails exploring around town. She is involved in her community with the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program as well as sits on the SDAB (Subdivision and Development Appeal Board) with the Town of High River.

Tricia has deep roots in Real Estate that go back over 20 years. She started as the office administrator for J. Ross Real Estate in 2001 and was able to learn all about the “back end” portion of real estate….the paperwork. She did all the conveyancing to ensure each real estate transaction was processed properly.

Through the years, Tricia has had the opportunity to work in many fields that always seemed to have Real Estate in the air. She worked for the Town of High River in the Planning Department learning about Real Property Reports, Development Permits, Building Permits and more. When she moved to B.C. she worked for a developer, Whiskey Jack Resorts, in the Sales Office. During that time, she worked towards her Real Estate license and sold Real Estate for 5 years in Sparwood and the Elk Valley. When she returned to High River, she worked for the Town of High River again. This time she was in the Safety Codes Department and was issuing permits for new builds, renovations, garages, etc. as well as Plumbing, Gas and Electrical Permits.

While volunteering on the Twilight Committee with Laurie, they discussed working together as a Real Estate Team. Laurie and Tricia have known each other since 2001 and it was an easy decision to make. In the Fall of 2017, Laurie & Tricia decided to start the “Let Us Guide You Home” Team. Tricia feels very fortunate to work with someone that has the same values and ethics when working with our clients. With our knowledge and collaboration, we can provide above and beyond start to finish service to everyone we work with. Not only are we celebrating 5 years as a Team, but we also have 35 years of combined experience and are looking forward to continuing to work with all our amazing clients.
