Wednesday, November 2, 2022, 7-9 am | Foothills Centennial Centre, Okotoks
Cost: $100 Early Bird | $110 after September 30
Tickets include a hot buffet breakfast of scrambled eggs, home-fried potatoes,
sausage, bacon, western flapjacks, fruit, coffee, and tea.
Topic: Domestic Violence and Abuse Are Not Just Women’s Issues
This presentation is about engaging the community in a broader conversation about gender-based violence and abuse. Keynote speaker Dr. Jackson Katz reframes violence against women as a men's issue and shows how beliefs about “manhood” often underlie much abusive and violent behaviour.
Who Should Attend? It may be called Breakfast with the “Guys”; however, this presentation is open to anyone in the community who wants to expand their knowledge on gender-based violence and abuse.
We encourage anyone and everyone from the public to attend, including but not limited to community members, business leaders, administrators of human service agencies, government officials, and others in positions of influence.
